Introducing the all New Hitchgate X, with a completely new design and more standard features than anything in the industry. The Hitchgate X mounts to any class III 2" hitch receiver, with 3 distance positions and can carry up to a 37" tire. The Hitchgate X is raised 4.5" for better clearance in the rear when on the back roads or steep departure angles. Easily mount or remove the tire on a threaded rod with wheel cone and wheel hub, No bolts or lugs needed. Comes with a secondary Cargo Hitch, spring loaded locking pin in the open position, wheel support plate, license plate relocation bracket, Molle rack for additional gear and built in Hi-Lift jack mount.

Standard Features:

WedgeLock- Our WedgeLock will take all the wobble away. Once tightened, the Hitchgate X becomes part of the vehicle.

Pivot with Grade 8 bolt and Delrin washers- for serviceability, strength and smooth vibration free operation.

Latch Pin- Easy grip (even with gloves) is tethered to the base bar.

Polyurethane Latch Pin bushings- smooth fit and no vibration between arm and latch.

Wheel Mounting - Lockable U-bar (threaded hub) , Polyurethane wheel cone for fast and tool-free wheel mounting. The Threaded wheel mount is welded at a 5-degree angle up to give it a closer fit.

Wheel Support Plate - Support plate below the tire for added support.

Secondary Swing-Away Cargo Hitch- an additional 2” hitch receiver welded to the swing arm which has been extended to the rear to better accommodate most bike and cargo carriers.

Molle plate – Included back Molle Plate will give you universal mounting ability for accessories.

License plate relocation – Comes with a built in License plate relocation bracket.

Wiring Route – Pre-fabricated route to wire a License Plate LED lighting kit.

Arm capacity- 250 lbs.

Spring loaded locking pin – It will hold the swing arm in 2 different open positions.

HI-Lift Jack Mount - Integrated bolt holes to mount a Hi-Lift Jack horizontally behind the tire.

**All Hitchgate Solo's come with the wedge lock and hardware needed to install the Hitchgate and Tire. (Hitch receiver locking pin Not included)

***Fitment Notes - 

Identify that you have at least 4 ½” from your hitch pin hole towards the front of your vehicle. Doing so will ensure that the Hitchgate will be able to engage its wedge lock design eliminating any wobble or play in your receiver that you may have. 

Factors that can result in the receiver tubing not fitting can be caused by: 

  • Receiver tubing has a plate on the back end of the receiver that restricts the hitchgate tubing from running back enough for the wedge lock to have room to engage or hitch pin holes to align.
  • Some model vehicles have a muffler in the rear that interferes with how far back the tubing is allowed to run. This will require the muffler or exhaust components to be relocated.
  • You want to make sure the face of your hitch receiver is at least flush with the outer most edge of your rear bumper. Not Receded anymore than 2.0" behind your bumper. 
  • Needs 7.5” of clearance from Hitch receiver to the bottom of rear door or tailgate* Swings out 160 Degrees*

**Notice of maintenance required** - Periodic tightening of the pivot bolt with a torque wrench to at least 60-70lbs every few months is needed to prevent movement on the swing arm. Also, over time replacing the Delrin washers and T handle bushings.
